Basic Competency Training (SIA)

At Olympian we have a wealth of expertise in security related training and our instructors are Edexcel and Maybo qualified with operational experience.  Training is certified and takes place at our dedicated Edexcel and Maybo licensed training centre. Alternatively, training can be carried out at your venue, subject to minimum class sizes.

Retail Security Training

This course is designed to help retail managers, supervisors and loss prevention personnel to understand the risk exposures in their stores and provide knowledge on how to reduce loss and tackle theft both on the shop floor and internally.   This training can be tailored to provide a good basic knowledge over two days or more in depth to cover complete loss prevention strategy from depot to shop floor.

Personal Protection at Work (Physical Intervention and Disengagement Skills)

Olympian has developed it's own 'personal protection at work' training module for those who encounter conflict or physical aggression on the front line. This one day course provides

candidates with a range of options to deal with a variety of conflict situations to maximise the personal safety of staff and minimise the risk of injury to others. Important theory elements are

discussed, before all candidates take part in realistic role play scenarios and practical lessons in both defensive disengagement and physical control and restraint techniques. These techniques are Maybo approved and based on natural movements that do not rely on strength or aggression, and have established credibility in security functions.  This course is very popular with our Healthcare and Retail clients.
